B H College gets A grade from NAAC

B. H. College, Howly has been awarded ‘A’ Grade (CGPA 3.11) by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). The result of the assessment has been declared today by the NAAC office at Bangalore. It may be mentioned that B. H. College happens to be the first college from Lower Assam to get ‘A’ grade from NAAC. A Peer Team constituted by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), Bangalore successfully completed the visit of B H College, Howly during 28, 29 & 30 April, 2016 as part of the cycle 2 assessment of the college. Prof S Sivasubramanian, former Vice Chancellor of Bharatiar University and Nurul Islam University, Tamil Nadu was the chairperson of the NAAC Peer Team, while Prof Narinder Kr Dogra, Dept of Political Science, Punjabi University, Patiala was the member coordinator of the team. Dr Baban B Taywade, Principal, Dhanwate National Congress, Nagpur was the other member of the team. The NAAC Peer Team visited the college to validate the Self Study Report submitted by the college. In its report the NAAC Peer Team has appreciated certain positive aspects of the college such as- Effective leadership and supportive College Governing Body, the commitment of the Faculty and administrative staff, good academic performance over the years, participatory governance, the Departmental Forums and number of Wall Magazines, the clean and green campus and the highly impressive discipline exhibited by the Students. The entire college family is showing its jubilance after the declaration of the results. Satya Nath Das, founder Principal; Hrishikesh Goswami, President of the Governing Body; Dr Bhushan Chandra Pathak, the Principal of the college; Dr. Sambhu Saran Singh, Vice Principal of the college and Dr Sultan Ali Ahmed, IQAC coordinator, have expressed satisfaction on getting ‘A’ grade from NAAC. and thanked all the stakeholders of the college for their support and cooperation during the assessment period. The ‘A’ grade for the college during its Golden Jubilee Year is the most befitting tributes to its founding fathers many of whom have left for heavenly abode.
